CHARLES CASEY MARTIN has designed over three hundred books for
publishers such as Harper and Row, Simon and Schuster, and David Godine.
He received a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from Arizona State University
and an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa Writers Workshop. His poems,
drawings, and fiction have appeared in many publications, including The
Agni Review, The Antioch Review, The Iowa Review, Crazyhorse, Poetry Northwest,
and the anthology Working Classics. In 1990, he published a novel,
Godchildren, with Viking. His writing has earned a number of honors,
among them the Helen Bullis Prize from Poetry Northwest. He currently lives
in Northampton, Massachusetts, where he works as a freelance writer and
book designer. When he isnt working, Chuck coaches and plays shortstop
in a coed softball league and competes in both indoor and two-on-two beach
volleyball. |
