Creative Writing Exercises
1) Find a compelling story, whether on the Discovery Channel, in a book of myths, or in the newspaper. Generate a list of the participants in whose voices poems might be written, keeping in mind that they do not have to be limited to the central figures of your source, but can also include minor participants or even those not actually mentioned. Write poems for the voices you feel most drawn to.
2) Write a poem generated from an idiom, pun, or double entendre without making the overall feel of the poem a humorous one.
