Welcome! Hopefully, a professor has chosen one of our Sarabande
authors for study in your class, making you an important part of an exciting
new project that is directed mainly for your benefit. Our goal is to link
you directly with the author you are studying and to give you additional
information that you might not otherwise get outside the classroom.
Our classroom materials include interactive readers
guides for each of our six featured authors, containing questions posed
by the author, essay topics, suggested further reading, and creative writing
exercises. You will also find author biographies and interviews, and sample syllabi. We have also added a
special section, Teaching
and Learning with Computers, for those of you who are new to the online
world.
If your professor has adopted one of our featured titles, he/she will be
giving you a password that allows you to access the Discussion
Area. The bulletin board where you may want to post questions is the
Student Lounge. There is also a chatroom designed for live interviews with
the authors, which your instructor will schedule with us during the semester.
Whichever of our featured authors you are studying, each is
excited to talk with you.
If your questions are relevant,
creative, and thoughtful, you are sure to get some interesting answers.
