ONE DAY I'LL Rise, Sarabande Writing Labs, Vol. XI
Sarabande Writing Labs partnered with Project Uncaged, helmed by public health researcher Tasha Golden, to provide poetry workshops for young women at Louisville Metro Youth Detention Services. Golden is an author, songwriter, and doctoral fellow at the University of Louisville, where she researches the impact of expressive writing on public health.
Our anthologies are lovingly handmade by volunteers and given to all Sarabande Writing Labs participants free of charge. Proceeds from anthology sales support the continuation of the program.
Sarabande Writing Labs is an arts education program promoting writers in under-resourced communities through writing workshops, literary events, and publication.
This anthology was made possible thanks to funding from Louisville Metro Council and Fund for the Arts through Imagine Greater Louisville 2020.
