sarabande Writing Labs: Anthologies
Since 2014, Sarabande Writing Labs has hosted free creative writing workshops in our hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, with the express purpose of reaching communities facing barriers to arts access. These workshops have been held in partnership with libraries, community centers, emergency housing shelters, and more.
From 2014 to 2019, the poems, stories, and essays produced in these community workshops were published in handmade, limited-edition anthologies. In five years, the series produced seventeen anthologies and published more than two-hundred Louisville writers.
