ZINES?
A zine (“ZEEN”) is a small, handmade book of art and writing. Because they’re usually made from a single piece of paper using minimal supplies, zines are easy to create, reproduce, and share. We love zines because they make publishing accessible for everyone.
Folding a simple 8-page zine
Check out our short instructional video to fold an eight-page zine using a single sheet of paper (any size). Once you’ve folded your zine, it’s ready for your ideas! You can also use this method to fold any zines from our digital zine gallery.

Why Zines?
In 2020, social distancing made our previous programming impossible, but we still wanted to share our love of writing and publishing with the community. So we designed “Publish Your Own Zine” kits, which we distributed free to young writers through our partnerships with local community centers.
Zine Kits
Zines can be made with whatever you have on hand. But, if you need a starter kit, we invite you to purchase one from us!
